Endocrine University FAQ's

Who is eligible to attend Endocrine University?

Endocrine University is open to all endocrine Fellows-in-Training who are in the United States and are members of AACE. The November 7- 10, 2019 program is for final year fellows. The February 14- 17, 2020 program is for first year fellows.

How do I register for Endocrine University?

All program directors will be sent a code to give to their final year fellows to use to register. The registration code should only be shared with final year fellows who have been approved by their program director in advance to attend.

Do I need to be nominated in order to register?

No, you no longer need to be nominated in order to register to attend Endocrine University.

Do I need to be a member of AACE in order to attend?

Yes, all fellows must be AACE members in order to participate. Membership is $50 and may be completed through this link: https://www.aace.com/membership/become-part-worlds-largest-endocrine-community

I live outside the United States; can I still attend?

No. The content presented at Endocrine University is very specific to the American system of healthcare. It would not be as relevant for anyone practicing overseas.

What does the registration fee include?

The registration fee of $500 includes all program materials, lectures, hotel accommodations for Thursday, Friday and Saturday night and meals for Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning.

Will AACE reimburse for the cost of transportation to the meeting?

No. Airfare and transportation to and from The Kahler Grand Hotel is the sole responsibility of the participants.

How do I make hotel reservations?

Once you have registered for Endocrine University, instructions will be sent to you on how to make your hotel reservations. Participants are required to make their own reservations; AACE will not make the reservations on your behalf.

Attendees are responsible for 1 night's room and tax if lodging is not cancelled within the hotel's cancellation window.

What if I need to change more reservations later on?

You will need to contact the AACE housing bureau directly to make any changes to your reservation.

My flights require me to arrive a day early or stay a day late. Will AACE cover the extra night’s hotel stay?

No. AACE will only pay for hotel accommodations for three nights—Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

I need a kosher/vegetarian/hallal meal. Is it possible to request a special meal?

Yes. When you register, please indicate that you have special dietary needs and list the type of meal you require.

Do I need to stay for the entire time?

Yes, participants are required to be present for all lectures.

I’m not a final year fellow; can I still attend the November program? Can final year fellows attend the February program?

Registration for the November program will be restricted to final year fellows. Should space allow, it will then be opened to first year fellows. For the February program, registration will be limited to first year fellows initially, then opened to final year fellows should space permit additional attendance.

Will the talks be recorded?

Some of the lectures may be recorded, depending on permissions from the faculty.

How many CME credits can I claim?

You may claim 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ for every 60 minutes of learning. All credit claiming is through AACE’s online Learning Management System. It is up to the individual claim the correct number of credits earned. Further instructions on credit claiming will be provided at the program.

I waited too long and now the program is sold out. Can I still attend?

Registration is on a first come, first-served basis and participation is limited to 270 attendees. If the program is sold out when you try to register, you may ask to be on the waiting list. You will be notified if there is a cancelation and spot becomes available.
